Ruthven road closed after crash takes out hydro pole

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say a road in the county remains closed following a collision.

Police say the crash took place shortly after 12:30 p.m. on Monday on Union Road at Road 2 East in Ruthven.

Union Road, also known as County Road 45, is closed between County Road 20 and County Road 34. Also, Road 2 East is closed east of Ruthven.

Hydro crews are on scene, and police are asking drivers to stay away from the area.

There were no immediate reports of injuries and no further details are available.
