Windsor fire holding safety sessions for apartment building managers and owners

If you manage a high-rise or mid-rise apartment building, Windsor Fire and Rescue Services has a fire safety program for you.

It's holding two sessions next month to help owners and managers understand their responsibilities under the Ontario Fire Code.

The first session on September 24 is from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The second is the same day from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Both sessions will be at The Safety Village on Forest Glade Drive, and the registration fee is $50 per participant.

The sessions will cover fire separations and closures, standpipes and sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems and safety plans, emergency lighting, emergency procedures, and smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.

Those interested in taking part can call the Windsor Fire and Rescue Services Fire Prevention Division at 519-253-3016 ext. 3776 or email firesafety@citywindsor.ca.
